Walter Becker - half of the duo Steely Dan - has passed away. The influence that he and his musical partner, Donald Fagen, had on rock music was immense imbuing a sense of style wrapped in slinky grooves, jazz leanings and double entendres that filled our ears and minds with images of life of NYC, weird and fantastical denizens of the night, and so much more.
