We all act like there was a war. Like we fought and died and won. But really? Really it was all in our minds. There was never any war. There was blood spilt, converts proselytized, but it wasn’t a war. You can't call it a war if we lost the moment we stepped foot on the western bank of the Mississippi. This is God's land, and he's just waiting for the right time to call down fire and brimstone to rid it of this blight.
