In English: "Songs to Empower and Pray for the Black Brazilian"

This mix tape features songs dedicated to and played for the ongoing struggle of Black Brazilians who experience racism, discrimination, and colorism in their every day lives. Whereas some songs, like "Amoras" focus on celebrating the beauty of Black Brazilians, other songs like "Dedo Na Ferida" angrily place the blame on Brazilian society (in more profane language). Some songs date back as far as the '80s, but are still played heavily to this day. While several of the songs are in the genre of rap, some songs are best described as spoken word. All in all, these songs aim to offer the listener a glimpse into the problems facing Black Brazilians.
