Dorian and John find themselves on the opposing sides when a civil war over robot rights breaks out in the city. As the police is forced to use violent measures to keep the street riots at bay, Dorian's programming evolves until no human law stands in his way to achieve true salvation for his kind. An android messiah is born. Meanwhile John struggles with his own conscience when he is ordered to take down the leader of the terrorist movement, an android he once called a friend.
