Notes
On March 20 1979, BBC Radio 1 invited David Bowie on air to DJ. The singer was only a few months from releasing Lodger, the final piece of his “Berlin Trilogy”, when he took the opportunity to spend two hours playing some of his favorite songs. It’s an unsurprisingly eclectic listen as he stretches from early 20th century composer Elgar through Little Richard, The Stones and children’s music onto contemporary artists like Talking Heads.
