Communication breeds healthy relationships. But theirs has never been what anyone would call "healthy."
They've been through hell for each other. But they can't talk about that. No, they'd rather lie and pretend to be okay. The truth is, though, that eventually they always seem to open up to each other, slowly, reverently, lovingly, using their hands and mouths as well as their words to feel out just how damaged the both of them actually are, and then they can begin their slow healing process. And maybe they'll never really be completely okay, but they've always got each other. And that's something.
