They were finally leaving, free to go back home. She held tightly onto his hand as she stared at the way that would bring her back to that little cabin that she'd grown up in, knowing that her mother waited for her within that old wooden home. That wasn't her home anymore though. Turning her back on it all, her hand never left his as she followed him back to his own time.
It wasn't a home if he wasn't there, she was sure her mother would understand.
