Notes
After a few great decades of really good music, something happened after 1979...the 80s. Synth pop reigned, punk died and either went horribly mainstream with New Wave or dug itself deep underground with Hardcore. A new style of music fueled by racial hatred and ghettoization brought forth rap music: a force to be reckoned with. Names like Morrissey and Robert Smith inexplicably had death grips on little girls' suicidal hearts.
