This is a first in an eight mix salute to the to the 45 and also to AM radio. It will try to do these chronologically but I'm not promising anything. You can say what you want but AM radio was the great equalizer. It was the medium that everyone listened to. There may have been genre stations for country and soul music but your typical AM station that the kids were listening to played a little bit of everything. I will be taking this into account. Treat this like it was an AM station and you'll love it. The upside is no loud Dee Jays or commercials (only those from 8tracks itself).
