This is a slice of music that was released from late May 1980 to late May 1981, my senior year in high school. This isn't a personal mix. Indeed, you wouldn't catch me listening to some of these, either then or now. The thing is that I'm sure that any number of these songs were important to someone in my class of nearly 400 kids. There's no obscurities here. but they are presented somewhat chronologically so it's a wild ride.
