The title says it all. This a compendium of female vocalists from the mid sixties to the early seventies. The subtitle defines the parameters. In this mix you'll find Pop, Rock, Country, Soul and even Folk singers all thrown together in a loose but noticeable chronological order. If the choices seem rather obvious to the initiated, just remember that divas are defined by their best moments. Also, this makes it easier to skate between the extremes without any warning.

Note about the cover model: That's a picture of my mom taken during the same period. Wigged out, Hot Pants clad, accessorized with fringed purse and goofy sunglasses. I'd say she's ready to take on the world, just like any diva would be.
