Kylux modern au: Kylo is a college dropout who plays bass in a queercore band. Hux is used to studying law and living mostly in the closet. They meet when Hux's roommate drags him to a Smiths/Morrissey dance night at a local club. Three weeks later, Kylo is carving their initials into a tree with his pocket knife.

Kylo wants to raise hell and fight every homophobe he meets. Hux just wants to hold Kylo's hand in public without feeling like he's tempting fate.

We open on one of Kylo's live shows at a bar downtown, while Hux is at his apartment hunched over his notes...
