From Düsseldorf came two of the most representative Krautrock bands, Kraftwerk and Neu!, which substantially contributed to the development of electronic music. The playlist covers the greater Düsseldorf region (bands from Duisburg, Krefeld, and Viersen included) that, besides electronic-oriented Krautrock also illustrated the folk, fusion and symphonic dimensions of the genre.
