i originally made this mix 7 years ago for a friend who wanted "fun st. patty's[sic] day music". i wanted to teach her what ireland really is about--it's not green beer and leprechauns. included in the cds were liner notes with all the lyrics and a brief description about the historical significance.

it starts in pre-celtic times, and moves through irish history to modern days. i'll admit without the liner notes (which obvs can't be included here) it may not be as effective but have it anyway.
