goddd this is so lovely and haunting. there's so much quiet hope contrasted with devastating hopelessness, all that quiet gentleness with lulling wariness and terror in the background. safe and sound is just unbelievably painful tbh. bones is just the type of song that should be illegal bc of how much it hurts, truly tbh, and nightmare is always a lot but GOD in this context it's literally too painful for existence, it's transcendently painful, truly. and ending with the acoustic version of out of the woods is just LITERAL DEATH god this is so much. these literal infants being held captive and tortured and so terrified and hopeful and hopeless all at once, a perfect mix tbh
