Notes
The 1970s was the decade that defined classic rock. From hard rock to soft rock—and virtually anything in between—all the best one-hit-wonders came out during that time, and bands like Led Zeppelin, T. Rex, and David Bowie became established as the giants of the genre. The androgynous makeup and dress code, along with the distinctive electric sound dominated over the radio and teenagers' record collections, and expressed the angst of the post-hippie era. Even today, the songs are equally powerful, with a significant touch of nostalgia added to them by the passage of time.
