Born in Meadow, Texas, 9 May 1937, Sonny Curtis has had a storied career as a guitarist, songwriter, and singer in rock, pop and country music since 1956, when he played lead guitar during his friend Buddy Holly's first professional session. He joined the Crickets after Buddy Holly's departure in October 1958, and remained with the group sporadically until their 2016 retirement. The following collects sometimes rare selections from Sonny's career, versions of his songs by other artists and so on.
