Ned Washington once brilliantly wrote, "There's a line between love and fascination, that's hard to see on an evening like this." And I say, what does it matter? Is not fascination a form of love, however temporary it might be? The intensity of emotion cannot be measured, explained, or often justified. And so perhaps our naming system for emotions are just fragile associations. Love and fascination both require a large amount of synchronicity and longing.
