The thing about peace is that it has a horrible habit of not lasting.

The heroes of Skyworld don't get nearly as long an intermission this time, as a seemingly-divine being claiming to be an old enemy of its (now deceased) former Captain of the Guard arrives on the scene, fully prepared to do whatever it takes to throw the world into chaos. Pit, Palutena, and their allies must hurry to assemble a weapon of legend that may be their best hope of defeating Arachne and her new friends.

Add in some awkward human-angel interactions, a clone's poor choices and social skills, mind-twisting villains, a rivalry revisited, and an old foe and it's no shocker if the world really does fall to pieces before it's over.
