The interesting thing about racism is that it attracts hate from all angles; it is hate and we respond by hating, hate. It is such a perplexing paradox; the dichotomy between how much and, on a grander historical scale, how long hate has been hated that I feel as though it must be represented. “Stagnant Dividends” showcases the nature of nineteenth century racism from historical, stylistic, and lyrical angles.
