It started with the sound of water dripping. You hear it in your sleep and again when you wake up. None of the pipes in your house are leaking, you've had them checked. Yet every several seconds you hear it, the soft plump of a drop hitting the bottom of something solid. And then the sound begins to follow you outside of your home.
One day, when you climb into the bathtub, the water boils away around you.
That's when you first hear the whispers.
