I wanted to get away from making seasonal mixes, so I this 12 disk volume assings a crazy theme to each mix with no relation between them. The ideas came from wanting to build mixes around certain sounds that stood out or theme ideas (like a mixtape theme-challenge). This volume runs from #225-236 in my 8tracks archive.

I collect the SXSW official showcase torrent releases (Yes, they're legal) and sort through all 1,000+ songs each year. and that's where I find some inspiring tracks that inspire me to assemble a great hip-hop mix. That's the origins for this collection as well.
