Both "Graceland" (Memphis, Tennessee), and Detroit, Michigan, were the two main hubs for some of the best soul and r&b that was ever released in the 1960s and 70s. Some of the fantastic artists who dipped deep into their hearts and souls to retrieve such legendary melodies were folks such as Wendy Rene, Charles Wright, Carla Thomas, and 10cc. These artists had some great hits in their heyday, but they never truly got the attention or credit they deserved.
