I-vi-IV-V

Notes

"The '50s progression' is a chord progression and turnaround used in Western popular music. As the name implies, it was popular in the 1950s and early 1960s and is particularly associated with doo-wop. It has also been called the "Heart and Soul chords", the "Stand By Me changes", and the "doo-wop progression", and according to Mike Aquino and Hank Green, the "Ice Cream changes"."

"The progression, represented in roman numeral analysis, is I-vi-IV-V. For example, in C major: C-Am-F-G."
