He appeared out of nowhere; the crippling paralysis becoming more intense as the chilling mist swirled around my entire body. He walked closer, staring upon me like a predator filled with terrible evil, ferocious anger, and malevolent malice. My mind flashed with images of my soul being condemned to hell forever. Suffocated with fear, my lungs ceased to take their next breath; there was sudden blackness. I awoke; birds were singing; the prairie sunrise felt warm; I was safe for another day.
