Mr. Nick Rivera Caminero aka Nicky Jam was born in March 17 1981 in Boston Massachusetts to a Dominican mother & Puerto Rican father. At around the age of 10 he moved with his family to Puerto Rico & worked at a market store to make some extra coin to assist his parents. During his idle time he entertained in front of the store & to his amazement one day a music promoter happened to pass by & picked up on his talent. This resulted in a record label opportunity & the release of his first album “Distinto a los Demas” in 1999 at age 14. This album got the attention of various music producers such as DJ Playero, DJ Chiklin and DJ Joe which in turn catapulted his career into the music industry.
