What the heck is a safe body temperature anyways? Perhaps it depends on age, the season, how active one is & them scale readings. What we do know is picking up a bug carries a host of symptoms one of which is a fever in response to the body fighting off the infection. Another sure cause is becoming excited, which means your heart pumps faster, so more blood circulates around your body and raises its temperature.
