Unhealthy Obsessive "Love" of an unhappy mentally ill person that idolizes their love/stranger/person. It could be a co-dependent relationship, a stalker, someone in their first relationship, something - anything with that element of desperation, dangerous dynamics and low self-esteem.

but not well-adjusted enough to be happy.
