While in my first playthrough of 'Dark Souls 3' Pontiff Sulyvhan was just another boss, in subsequent playthroughs and thanks to SmoughTown's lore video I now see the importance of that character. His influence is felt throughout the game, and he is responsible for a lot of the misery that has befallen Anor Londo and the Old Gods. His boss fight never ceases to challenge you, and the new DLC has revealed that Sulyvhan hails from the Painted World of Ariandel, making his rise to power even more intriguing.
