Despite advance public notice that this was to be a birthday commemoration of some sort for David Cassidy, the erstwhile television performer didn't drop in to mark his 67th. Nevertheless, I went ahead and played one of the better deep (but certainly not subaqueous) cuts by his best-known combo. Naturally, that was followed by a Joy Division track, one that you probably haven't heard in at least five months. Were you there? If not, you can get a semblance of the magical evening by listening now. Or maybe you're already doing that. Aren't you? Why not? Do you have something better to be doing? I think not!
