Stiles pretends he hasn't been hoping to see Derek on his doorstep for months; pretends he's angry, incensed in fact, pretends that Derek Hale is an inconvenience in his daily routine rather than a person he feels pulled toward every damn day: like gravity, like he's falling. Derek pretends that he hasn't wanted to return for months: pretends that his first stop isn't the Stilinski house, pretends that there's a reason besides I missed you for coming to see the boy he left behind.
