hi Jenny, glad you like this compilation! the guitar-oriented genre is probably my biggest favorite too. on the off-chance that you are not acquainted with it, i heartily recommend the leamington spa anthologies (the proper title is The Sound of Leamington Spa, there are 6 compilations so far, out on Firestation Tower Records.) one of my mixtapes ("Leamington Spa, Future Releases") anticipates what they will release in the future. there are some excellent songs there, if i may say so. the hardy boys, lawrence and the comfortable society and metro trinity, among others. give it a listen! cheers!

opps accidently sent it too early. I meant to say, I don't know how anyone can't instantly like Sean Connery. It has the best jangliest guitars and is one of my all time favourites.

Love this mix. You have some of my favourite songs of the moment on here. I don't know how anyone can't instantly like Sean

Thanks, Pulsar! You have very educated responses to the songs. The New Order allusion in Splashing Along is a good one, very unexpected. That floored me too. Give Sean Connery another chance, the only thing that keeps it from being a popular gem are the shoddy production values. But that's indie for you. I still love it as much as the next song though. Look out for many film references in much of indiepop like that one. Thanks again for the very attentive listen!

"Splashing Along" got a star right after the singer went "yeah, yeah". :) "Sean Connery"... well, I'll admit the song title and band name went some way towards that star. ;) "Cincinnati" had some nice neo-psych touches to it.
