Jack doesn't lose his shit and go tyrant on Gilboa, but Silas still takes back the crown and imprisons him. His betrayal of the country's favorite son, the one they looked to in their time of need with Silas gone, his rampant tyranny, and his very obvious descent into madness and blasphemy turns the country against him.
