a tall glass of water for when you wake up and hastily fix your crumbled mascara in the dirty mirror of a bathroom from which you attempt to quietly pilfer someone else's dry shampoo or deodorant before slipping out into the bitter morning air in clothes that were far more weather-appropriate when you put them on the afternoon before. leaving somebody's place the morning after without waking them to say goodbye makes you feel powerful, if a little debased. next time remember to bring a jacket.
