There’s a universe where we stay together.
And another where we don’t.
I wonder which we’re in.

I see our faces wrinkle and hair gray with time. I see us pick up the other person through hard times and guide us with our inward light through darkness. I see us cracking known jokes on how things once were that only the other person would know.

I also see us silently mourning the loss of each other as we’re quietly reminded that what once was, was lost and never will be.

Once my love was as bottomless as the sea, seemingly strange creatures abound that can do unknown amazing things.

Now, I feel my love drowning itself in shallow waters, barely living and nothing worth seeing or knowing.
