- Chris Cornell (Soundgarden), died 05/18/17, suicide. While he was over 40 at the time of his death, I added Cornell out of my love of Soundgarden

I am a big Soundgarden fan. So as such, and due to my bias, I very liberally added a lot of Chris Cornell tracks to this playlist. Spread out among the playlist are 2 Cornell solo tracks, 2 Soundgarden tracks, 2 Audioslave tracks and a Temple of the Dog track.

I meant for this to be a list of artists who died young, but could not resist including Mercury and Lennon.
There's other greats that I was tempted to include, such as Johnny Cash, Adam Yauch, Michael Jackson and Trish Keenan (of Broadcast)... all were over 40 when they passed, so I left them off.
For non-Americans, the dates below are in MMDDYY format...
