NOTE: Did things slightly differently this time. I typically mix and arrange songs based on flow. Mostly, the beat and tempo, sometimes the lyrics. Mostly the feel. I do that on most of my mixes, but even more so this time. That's the key - WAY MORE IMMERSIVE! I started with a list of 35 or so songs. Put them in an order that made sense, even added a few other songs that seemed to work really well (like Jimmy Buffett leading into a Blake Shelton track that name--checks him, or that Boz Scaggs song that seemed so obvious where it is). I've done both on-air radio work, as well as a little bit of club dabbling, so I used all that experience in creating this actual SONIC experience. It's a pretty good listen, and I didn't even have to add my own voice tracks (like "Modern Rock Rewind" or sound bytes ("Apollo 11", "Doctor Who" or "Red Asphalt", among others). Just some laid back, southern soul-influenced goodness. And you all thought I ran out of stuff after the previous seven mixes!
