1991 Phantom Fifty

Notes

In 1976, BBC Radio One Icon John Peel created a music chart called the Festive Fifty. From 1982 the chart only consisted of the year’s top tracks chosen by the listeners. It would traditionally broadcast over Christmas Eve and Day.

This chart became known as the "Phantom Fifty", Peel didn't get around to compiling the 1991 chart until the following year, and didn't broadcast it until 1993. The album cover is an untitled photograph by Goranka Matic. Some tracks were removed because of 8tracks’ two tracks per artist and album policy.
