In the end Shawn is right, this is how it ends... with their deaths.
There are three graves in a small park in the city, near a new precinct, with only a name on each. There are always flowers there. A statute, too, sits in the city with a plaque that reads, "For the Golden Three, the Protectors of Santa Barbara. For the ending you gave us. For the chance you gave us."
