In 2064, rising sea levels, increased rains, hunger, poverty and an astronomical gap between the haves and have nots, led to a series of protests, then riots, then the criminal element took advantage of the chaos, which led to gang wars and wars with the police.

The Hasting Street Wars, neither the first nor last of its kind, was perhaps the bloodiest in Vancouver's history.

The holofeeds of the brutal clashes between drug fuelled 'Junkers' and the Police Forces Cyborg unit alone, display an intolerable body count, and to this day, these feeds are protected and shared to remind all what happens when people are divided by class, race and beliefs.

The past holds may lessons, most of which go unlearned.
