So this is something soft for my Lady Cousland, and her slow journey of recovery.

It's for her being overwhelmed with grief, and feeling lost in a world where all her loved ones are gone. It's for her making decisions that hurt people (because she's haughty and impulsive and kind of terrified of magic), and becoming convinced she's failed her parents, and waking up some mornings to find she doesn't have the strength to continue. And it's for her continuing anyway. Because if she doesn't save the world then it's likely nobody will, and a Cousland (no matter how broken) always does their duty.
