The Devil does not come with horns and fire and he is not hideous. There are no trumpets of war to herald him, no sword smoked in blood, no singing damnation. His image is a cruel smile borne beneath a fringe of dark hair and he comes carving a path through your heart, forcing you to smile when you know you must scream.
