Many women in the Arab world, from Algeria to Yemen, were inspired by the social media-driven Tunisian revolution, beginning in 2011. Women's rights are often overshadowed by larger conflicts, but during the Arab Springs, many women used music to speak up and let their voices be heard. It was only until September, women could not drive in Saudi Arabia, but there are still many more issues to overcome. This playlist was made to highlight some of the female artists who inspire other men and, especially women, to keeping fighting for their rights.
