I grew up listening to psychedelic rock music. I had a classroom assignment in the 9th grade in which students were to submit a record for class discussion. Not knowing anything about music at the time I knew I wanted to submit something psychedelic even though I was not familiar with psychedelic rock music. The year was 1967 or 68, I was new in town going into the 9th grade and I didn’t know anybody. After first day of class I walked to music store downtown to decide what record I wanted to discuss in class. It was a 45 rpm by Jefferson Airplane-Crown of Creation and Lather. From that moment forward I was hooked on psychedelic rock, a remain so.

Atlanta Ga was a Mecca for rock concerts and live music. My first was Cat Stevens at the Omni Arena. if I am not mistaken the Cat Steven concert was the very first concert of the newly built Omni sports and concert building in 1972.

Other concerts were held at the Municiple Auditorium were I saw Pink Floyd-Dark Side of the Moon tour, and Frank Zappa & Mother’s of Invention, other bands include The Allman Brothers Band, The Who, Yes, Alice Cooper, Deep Purple, King Crimson, Emerson Lake and Palmer, Hawkwind, Kiss, Grateful Dead, David Bowie, Rush, The Rolling Stone, ZZ Top, Uriah Heep, Lynyrd Skynyrd, Elvis Presley, Led Zeppelin, Ted Nugent, Electric Light Orchestra, ACDC, Rush, Genesis and I say so what when's the next show
