Notes
I heard a song today that reminded me of wonderful Autumn days at the river and times spent listening to music in the car with a dear friend who introduced me to music I love, so this playlist is in dedication to her.
As I've been feeling nostalgic for Autumn quite a bit recently and it rained this week, here is a seasonal playlist that reminds me of home featuring: Of Monsters & Men, Thea Gilmore, the Decemberists, and Muireann Nic Amhlaoibh.
This playlist is included in an 8tracks official collection. Follow @themed-collections to find an amazing selection of Fall songs. Check out Themed Collections in the forums to participate.

@mark.lenfest.3 As do I. I am still looking for more songs that make me feel like autumn. Perhaps something rainy... ^_^

Hey, so I gave this a listen, and I enjoyed the celtic folk tracks (Muireann Nic Amhlaoibh was new to me), the Alela Diane selection, and that Of Monsters and Men remix. Not the hugest fan of bluegrass or of Guns N' Roses, but I otherwise liked it! Very true to the idea/mood of autumn.

Also, just a note: the word "g*psy" is a slur when used by non-Romani people. I don't know if you are or not, and I don't mean to be weird about this, but if you'd like to read more about the reasons for non-Romani folks to not use the term, here's a link: http://chirikli.tumblr.com/post/52961951932/its-a-slur-a-rromani-womans-thoughts-on-the.

@fiertia I am Rromani, on my grandmother's side. Well, she is Jewish-Rromani actually - quite a story there... Thank you for spreading the word. I remember when I was little my marmie told me never to tell other people that I was Rromani/Gypsy because it could get us in trouble. I thought she was kidding for years until I grew older and did some reading. I am quite the odd mixture.

@fiertia I plan to add more world music to this mix. I have no music from Asia added yet, nor do I feel there is enough ancient/medieval music, which is a large part of my collection. I also have a drum song from the Abenaki tribe that I have been trying to get online for sometime that we used to sing during Intertribal that I want to add someday. It always reminds me of autumn.
